I've been making rings inlaid with lab-created synthetic opal for some time now. I make these on a "custom made" basis and need a few week's lead time. I can also do rings with materials you send me, like colored sand or crushed shells from, say, a honeymoon! I made rings for my Wife and I from Mica we found while hiking in Sweden!

Basic beveled tungsten rings filled with synthetic opal are $60.00 each, but I can inlay almost anything. I made some rings inlaid with sand from Sword Invasion Beach in Normandie for a French friend of mine, just to give an idea of what you can do. Just ask!

DISCLAIMER/WARNING! As far as these rings and their durability, whether I make them or anyone else makes them, the inlay channel IS vulnerable to heavy use, caustic materials (including seawater) and any direct banging into hard materials. I have people who want me to make these as "Wedding Rings", but I wouldn't be honest if I didn't include in here that these will likely NOT hold up to the same kind of daily wear and abuse that a normal "Wedding Band" or rings goes through. They really should be considered "costume jewelry", meant to put on for an activity then taken off again. I have rings I made years ago and they're in perfect shape, but then again I do NOT wear them in my shop or while gardening or doing any activity where they can whack into anything!
